OOTD #2

The other night I went to my friends house for a party and ended up getting quite 'dressed up' for it so I decided to show you my outfit! Enjoy!

I'm not really sure how I'd describe this look. I think the leather sleeves on my grey crop top adds a grungy sort of look to the girly pink skater skirt. I paired this with a pair of creepers I robbed from my sister.
                                                     Top-Catch
                                                                 Skirt- River Island

Hope you enjoyed!

Vanilla Cupcakes

There's nothing nicer than vanilla cupcakes, especially when they're this easy to bake! I loveee making these cupcakes. Especially icing them and getting creative!

Ingredients
110g softened butter
110g caster sugar
2 lightly beaten eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
110g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder (or substitute the baking powder and plain flour for 110g self raising flour)
1-2 tsp milk
For buttercream icing
140b softened butter
280g icing sugar
1-2 tsp milk
a few drops food colouring

Method
1. Pre-heat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4 and line a 12 muffin tin with paper cases
2.Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until pale. Beat in the eggs a little at a time and stir in the vanilla extract
3.Fold in the flour using a large metal spoon, adding a little milk until the mixture is of a dropping consistency. Spoon the mixture into the paper cases until they are half full.
4.Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden-brown on top and a skewer inserted into one of the cakes comes out clean. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack.
5.For the buttercream icing, beat the butter in a large bowl until soft. Add half the icing sugar and beat until smooth.
6.Then add the remaining icing sugar with one tablespoon of the milk, adding more milk if necessary, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
7.Add the food colouring and mix until well combined.
8, Spoon icing into a piping bag with a star shaped nozzle and decorate as liked!

                                                             Enjoy!!

Halloween

I am a huge fan of Halloween! I love dressing up and having an excuse to do wacky makeup! If you have a halloween party coming up and don't want to go all out and buy a costume, heres a few ideas to make regular clothes into costumes using makeup and accessories! Here a some more wearable costumes if you don't want to go all out.Enjoy!

Kitty Cat:
Top-boohoo.com Jeans-boohoo.com
Cat Ears-New Look Shoes-New Look
This cat look would be perfect with straight hair, winged liner and nude lips. Don't forget to draw on your whiskers and nose!

Vampire:

Dress-Topshop
Studded Heels-Topshop

This is a very simply look which could most likely be pulled from any wardrobe,so I guess you could say I'm cheating.. I think this could look perfect with curled hair and of course red lipstick. Make sure to wear your foundation very pale with no blusher or bronzer to get that true vampy look.

Doll;
All from New Look

This look is all about the bows! To create the doll look keep the skin very natural and dewy just using a bb cream or tinted moisturizer,be sure to wear false eyelashes on the top and bottom lashes, tons of rosy pink blush and a hot pink lipstick. If you naturally have freckles(like me) don't worry about this step,if you don't have freckles draw some in with a brown kohl.Ta-dah!

I hope you enjoyed this Halloween post! What are you dressing up as this year? I'm going for Little Red Riding Hood!

Autumn Day Out #2:Daytime First Date

Sorry it's been sooo long since my last post but I've just gone back to school and I've finally got back into the swing of things so I'll definitely be posting more from now on!

Here's my second 'Autumn Day Out'! This outfit is inspired by a daytime first date! Enjoy!

Now if you are unsure of what exactly you're doing on your date this outfit is perfect.

Contrast Collar Dress-Toshop

I ADORE this dress from Topshop and  have a similar dress at home. The cap sleeves are stunning and the collar looks amazing against the black skater dress. For Autumn,I would recommend wearing this with tights!

Cable Knit Jumper H&M

I'm seriously thinking about picking up one of these jumpers from H&M. I thought this jumper would be lovely just to make the outfit more casual and this light grey/blue colour would compliment the dress so much with the white peter pan collar poking out!

Black Cut Out Lace Up Brogues-New Look

For shoes I think these go perfect! For starters, they're cute, comfy and practical because they're flats and secondly, they match the outfit perfect! They get along with the style of the outfit well!

That is the complete outftit,I hope you enjoyed! Don't forget to follow me on bloglovin'!

August Favourites

August is now sadly over which means back to school, big bummer. This month I've tried out a few new products and I thought I'd show you them in an 'August Favourites'. Enjoy!

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream-Light

Yes,I know I've mentioned this before and I know I said I didn't see much difference between this and the original but that doesn't mean it wasn't well loved! It felt so light on my skin with a light coverage too. It was great for lazy days at the cinema or around the house or wherever! Great buy,I will be repurchasing!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer-Fair

So this is kind of a cult product in Britain and Ireland but with good reason! It's a great coverage concealer, long wearing, brightens under the eyes while still concealing spots/blemishes! All round great product for only 6eu -ish..

Maybelline 24 hour Colour Tattoo

This is such a versatile product! Great as an eyeshadow base,it really makes you eyeshadow last! And it's really handy to have for quick makeup, slap it on,blend it out and it looks like you've spent a long time on your makeup! I have this in 'On and On Bronze' but I really want to get 'Pink Gold'!

Revlon Lip Butters
Lip butters are so great for everyday wear. They're more pigmented than a tinted lip balm but moisturise your lips at the same time which I love. They have a glossy finish and have good colour pay off. I have 'Strawberry Shortcake'.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

To apply my makeup I have been loving using this brush. You can literally use it for any face makeup but I find it works best with foundation and concealer. It bends in makeup seamlessly and makes your skin look almost airbrushed! Check it out,I swear you won't be disappointed!
Alcafe Light Mint Hot Chocolate

New unhealthy obsession anyone? If you know me,you know I love chocolate and mint so when I found out you could get mint hot chocolate in Butler's Cafe,it overjoyed me. After a while I was getting sick of paying 3:80eu for hot chocolate that wasn't even that great. So when I found this pack of 8 sachets for 1,39 in Aldi,it baffled me. I could have 8 mint hot chocolates(that are nicer than the Butlers ones) for less than half the price! I seriously recommend getting this at your local Aldis!
Simple Oil Balancing Moisturizer

As you can see in the picture,I'm running dangerously low on this! I think it may be my all time favourite moisturizer! It battles oil but still keeps your skin soft and moisturized without causing breakouts or irritation.

So that is all my 'favourites' this month. I hope you enjoyed and don't forget to follow me on bloglovin'!
